Byzantine bronze pitcher trefoil mouth and a handle, 500-700 A.D.

Many of the archaeological pieces that we preserve from ancient cultures are part of everyday objects. These objects, of daily use, denote and inform us of their practices and ways of living. This bronze jug, with a design in the mouth like a clover that extends to the handle, would be destined to contain water or wine for the festivities.
