Egyptian funeral stele representing the god Osiris, 1400 B.C.

This funerary stele depicts the god Osiris seated on a throne and holding its emblems. In the scene, a lotus flower is offered and placed in front of him. In the upper part, the name of the deceased appears: r-y-maat. Osiris was in ancient Egypt the god of the dead and owner of the underworld, as well as symbolizing resurrection and fertility.
