Egyptian wooden painted figure, 1700 B.C. Middle Kingdom.

This Egyptian figure represents a man standing carved in polychrome wood. The man wears a short black wig and his serious look is lost in the horizon. We can review the intensity of his eyes, bordered in black like the pupil and iris and with an intense white background of eyes. The figure lacks arms and his left leg is forward. Normally this type of sculptures had a funerary function.
