Islamic ceramic “Omeya” jug, 661-750 A.D.

It is unquestionable the mastery of the Islamic as for the work of the ceramics, as much modeling it by hand as realizing it to the lathe, especially as for the colors and the forms that are acquired. This type of ceramic vessels were used mainly for water or wine, and it is very common for them to carry one handle or even two. The mold of the body of this vessel is formed by a decorative weft in relief based on curved lines and repetition of motifs.
