Mesopotamian terracotta figure representing a female divinity, 1st millenium B.C.

This figure made of terracotta represents a woman carrying in her arms what seems to be a baby, possibly as an idol of motherhood and fertility made to ask for these favors from the gods. It is a small piece, very common in these civilizations, since they made objects that could be easily transported in case they changed territory.
