Roman marble torso of an infant, ca. 300 A.D.

This piece of sculpture represents the body of a child with a large belly and the right arm resting on the chest. The representations of naked children with these characteristics are usually of the god Eros in Greek mythology or Cupid in Roman mythology, who would be shooting an arrow with that right arm resting on the chest.
