Syro-canaanite bronze female figure, 2000 B.C.

This bronze sculpture represents a standing female figure wearing a long dress and a flat hat, an elongated neck with several necklaces, arched eyebrows and large hollow almond-shaped eyes, long hair arranged in plaits, falling on the back and holding a small bowl in her right hand. Although still archaic in its movements, this piece demonstrates a detailed technique that seeks to provide information about the subject represented, showing that it is a high-ranking character with an interest in having a representation at his level.
