Syro-hittite terracotta idol, 2000 B.C.

This small terracotta sculpture depicts a character with bird features through a beaked nose and circularly framed eyes, giving rise to a typically syrupy representation. On his head he wears a low crown. The rest of the body is not so detailed as it is simply modelled. This type of small figures with common features would be idols made in honor of some deity.
