This silver phiale mesomphalos is a shallow, open bowl-shaped vessel with a central omphalos that protrudes from the inside of the vessel, while the outside of the vessel has a recessed appearance. These vessels were used in ceremonial ceremonies to make libations as a religious offering. The interior with a raised central omphalos, the exterior with twenty-two petals in relief.
