This is a cosmetic palette carved in shale in the shape of a boat, with a hole in the top possibly for hanging. Aesthetically it is very simple as it lacks any incised decoration, which may be due to the fact that it belongs to an early phase of palette making.
According to the typology of P. Flinders 1, this palette is type 30.
