Description
This decorative plaque depicts a fight scene involving several characters: in the central part an archer shoots at a being that appears to be a Centaur, half-man and half-horse. At either end are two Griffon – sphinxes representing the union between the human and the mythological. The scene is framed by a bordered frame that further enhances the beauty of the ornamentation.
